Vasiljević was the third goalie of Medveščak since the season 2009/2010.
Young Medveščak goalie Andrej Vasiljević, who has trained with the EBEL team for the last three years is leaving to further improve in Slovakian HK 36 Skalica whose jersey he'll wear in seasons 2012/2013 and 2013/2014. 18-year-old member of Croatian national team will go through the season with Skalica's U20 team, but at the same time he'll train with the first team which plays in Extraliga.
- This will be a learning experience and professional improvement for Vasiljević in order to progress and become ready for the national team and KHL Medveščak in two years - stated Markoantonio Belinić, club's general manager.
Vasiljević was the third goalie of Medveščak since the season 2009/2010. A chance to replace Robert Kristan, Gašper Krošelj before and Michael Ouzas since last year, and to guard the Bears' net was given to him four times in three seasons. His debut in the strong regional league EBEL happened in 2010/2011 in the last game of the regular part of the season against Sapa Fehervar AV19 where he entered the game in the last five minutes. Last season he defended in three games, all 60 minutes against Red Bull Salzburg and Znojmo, and 19 minutes against Linz.
Besides playing with Medveščak in Croatian Championship and EBEL, the Zagreb-born also played in Slovenian U20 league with Team Zagreb U20 in seasons 2010/2011 and 2011/2012.
