Villach was the second opponent of the year for the Bears when they faced them away and lost in a tough, close match 3:2 in overtime.

Since that match, Villach went on to win 3 matches, shootout against Bolzano and beating Klagenfurt and Fehervar at home. However, they lost 10 other matches, currently being on a 6-game losing streak too.

Despite that, they are still a dangerous team. Their most productive player is Jerry Pollastrone with 13 points, he is also their goal leader with 9, two of those coming against the Bears. He is followed by MacGregor Sharp with 11. Four of their players are all tied with 7 points, these are Brandon Alderson, Corey Trivino, Jamie Fraser and Markus Schlacher.
