New seedlings for Dalmatia

News 12.03.2018.
New seedlings for Dalmatia

Last night in the Ice Hall, the score on ice was not the only reason for a celebration, but also the big heart that Medveščak's fans and SPAR showed to Dalmatia devastated by wildfires. Through the charity sales of pucks and scarves from SPARxMEDVEŠČAK limited collection, 1745 seedlings were gathered for Medveščak's national campaign LET'S AFFOREST CROATIA TOGETHER...

However, with the charity fundraising with SPARxMEDVEŠČAK products and party in the Ice Hall after the Bears beat Linz 6:2, the campaign is not over; after the game, it moved to the Instagram. The club's partner SPAR decided, with the help from supporters, to additionally increase the donation in the number of seedlings.

Each donator that left the Ice Hall tonight with a club's puck or a fan scarf from SPARxMEDVEŠČAK limited collection can also increase the value of her or his donation, thanks to SPAR! Enough is to post a photo of the fan props from the limited SPARxMEVEŠČAK collection on Instagram profile, with #PosumimoHRvatsku and #SPAR??HR in the photo description, and with @sparhr i @khl_medvescak_zg tags. For each post on the Instagram, SPAR will automatically donate 5 extra seedlings for Dalmatia! In order for the donation to be registered properly, the post and the Instagram profile must be public for the next 24 hours after publication. Instagram campaign with SPAR's seedlings ends on March 18th, midnight!

So far, in the LET'S AFFOREST CROATIA TOGETHER with the extra 1745 SPAR seedlings the total of 6671 seedlings has been gathered! The final number of seedlings in SPAR's campaign, i.e. the total number of seedlings gathered up to that moment is going to be announced after this newest Instagram campaign is over.

Medveščak started the national campaign LET'S AFFOREST CROATIA TOGETHER, in partnership with Croatian Forests, in autumn of 2017, after a vast area on the Croatian coast was devastated by catastrophic wildfires, with the goal to prevent major natural catastrophes caused during, but also after wildfires, and to educate the public about importance of wildfires and disasters prevention. The campaign was so far supported by the club partners HOK Insurance, Eco Consult, Karlovačko Beer and SPAR, as well as by Medveščak's club of seasonal subscribers.

The first phase of afforesting with the collected seedlings in Split and surrounding areas devastated by the fires last summer is planned for spring this year.
