At the end of each week, the KHL chooses the best players of the previous seven days in these four categories: goaltender, defenseman, forward and rookie.
Last week, with three games played, Goran Bezina was named the best defenseman of week three. In games against Neftekhimik, Sibir and Metallurg Novokuznetsk he posted an avergae of 31:06 minutes of TOI, one assist, nine shots on goal, four hits and four blocked shots.
This is Bezina's first season in the KHL.
In other categories, Juha Metsola (Amur) was named the best goaltender, Greg Scott (CSKA) the best forward, while Vladimir Tkachyov (Admiral) took the title of the best rookie of week three.
