As expected, a tough and open game was played in Luzhniki Arena and the Bears kept the tradition going and beat Spartak on their ice. Drew MacIntyre had a shutout and captain Mike Glumac had the only goal of the game in the middle period.
“This a big win for our club. We’ve been playing good on the road, but we just couldn’t reach the win, so this is means a lot. Spartak played a good and open game and we had contribution throughout the line-up. Drew had a great game and locked his net and the first goal proved to be an important one,” Gordie Dwyer, Bears’ head coach commented after the game.
