After acquiring new players, KHL Medvescak Zagreb is also seeing some other players go. Following Branislav Mezei and Anthony Stewart's departures, the club will also be letting go of Mike Hedden. The club and the player have mutually terminated their contract, and Hedden has decided to leave Medvescak in search for a club that will give him more ice time than he was getting.
"Mike has asked our permission to be released from his contract. He was not satisfied with his role on the team and feels it's in his best interest to move on and look for a team where he will get more ice time. We feel that with the added depth with Edwin Hedberg joining the club now that we could accommodate Mikes wishes and allow this. We hope he finds a good situation elsewhere and wish him a successful career", announced Medvescak’s sports director Aaron Fox.
Hedden played 12 games with Medvescak this season, but didn't get any points in those games.
