Pelletier crowns KHL All Star Game debut with goal
The East won the 7th KHL All Star Game. Team East beat team West 18:16 in Sochi Bolshoy Ice Dome. It's interesting to note that the West beat the East with the same score last season.
For the second year in a row, Medvescak had a representative on team West. The Bears' best shooter Pascal Pelletier got an invitation in the last minute to replace injured former Medvescak player Jonathan Cheechoo.
Pelletier played in the second line with Wojtek Wolski, Nikita Zajcev, Vadim Shipahov, and Andrej Mironov, spent 19:33 minutes on the ice, and mared his debut in the KHL All Star Game with a goal in the 43rd minute.
Aside from Pelletier, also scoring for team West were Ilya Kovalchuk (4), Wojtek Wolski (2), Steve Moses (2), Sergei Plotnikov (2), Igor Grigorenko (1), Nikita Shchitov (1), Nick Bailen (1), Vadim Shipachyov (1) i Andrei Mironov (1), while the East's shooters were Sergei Mozyakin (6), Denis Parshin (2), Sergei Kostitsyn (2), Nikita Gusev (2), Nigel Dawes (1), Dmitry Kugryshev (1), Yury Petrov (1), Danis Zaripov (1), Mike Lundin (1), and Justin Azevedo (1).
