Team Canada wins Spengler Cup

Katic, Genoway, Parlett, Pare, MacIntyre and coach Dwyer helped Canada reach back-to-back titles

Canada defended their championship title and won the Spengler Cup for the 14the time with a big win over HC Lugano (5:2)

Team Canada called on six Bears to join the team – five of them  logged time on ice and coach Gordie Dwyer stood behind the bench as an assisnat coach to head coach Richardson.

Blake Parlett, Colby Genoway, Mark Katic, Francis Pare and Drew MacIntyre all put on the maple leaf jersey and after suffering a loss against Dinamo Minsk in the first game, battled through to four wins in a row.

They met host HC Davos (3:4) and HK Mountfiled (1:5) in preliminary stage, went on to face against Minsk one more time and with a tight win reached the final (2:3).
