Forward Kirill Voronin and defenseman Lukas Kozak have joined the team while four players have left the continue their career in other KHL teams, T.J. Galiardi (Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk), Bobby Butler (Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod), Tomas Mertl (Salavat Yulaev Ufa) and Shaone Morrisonn (Admiral Vladivostok).
22-year-old Russian, Voronin spent his junior career in Lokomotiv Jaroslavl's system and last season made his debut in the KHL for Admiral Vladivostok. In his first season he has played in 50 games tallying 15 points. He started this season on Admiral's roster, but was sent down to HK Sakhalin (Asian League) for a 10 game stretch and then returned to the KHL lineup.
25-year-old Slovak,Kozak joins Medvescak from HC Dukla Trencin of the Slovakian league where he played in 33 games tallying 25 points. He started his senior career in HK 36 Skalica and played in the KHL for Slovan Bratislava.
Galiardi and Butler joined Medvescak this season. Mertl played his second season as part Medvescak, and Morrisonn was in his third season with the Bears.
KHL MEDVESCAK wants to thank all four players for their dedication and all the hard work and effort they put forth and wishes them all the best with the rest of the season.
First team will be back on the ice for practices on 28 December and the first game in 2017 will be played on 3 January starting at 7 PM in Dom sportova against Chinese Redstar Kunlun.
